Newert Co., Ltd. and Chungwoon University entered into a Family Company Agreement on December 24, 2025, with the aim of fostering skilled technical talent and strengthening a practice-oriented education system.
This agreement is meaningful in that it seeks to organically connect the capabilities of both the university and the company, establishing a virtuous cycle of research, technology development (R&D), field training, and talent cultivation.

This agreement was promoted to strengthen the linkage between professional technical workforce development and practice-based education, and to establish a cooperative framework that, in line with the original purpose of industry-academia collaboration, extends from research and technology development to education and real-world application. Under this agreement, the two institutions plan to facilitate the exchange of technology and information and to expand sustainable cooperation and exchange based on shared goals.
Key Areas of Cooperation
Collaboration in research and technology development
Practice-oriented education and field-based training linkage
Expansion of human and material exchange
Newert Co., Ltd. is a company that directly develops biosignal measurement devices and solutions, with hands-on expertise accumulated across hardware, software, data analysis, and solutions. Through this agreement, Newert will share its know-how in software and solution development with students at Chungwoon University, while Chungwoon University will actively contribute its outstanding human resources to research, development, and practical training processes. In this way, the two organizations have established a complementary cooperation model.
In other words, this creates a structure in which the company’s technology and field experience are transferred into university education, while the university’s talent and research capabilities are translated into corporate innovation.
Expected Outcomes
Cultivation of highly skilled technical talent: producing job-ready professionals through practice-based education
Improvement of holistic education and educational quality: establishing an education system that connects theory, practice, and field application
Contribution to regional industrial development: strengthening technological competitiveness and creating jobs through industry-academia cooperation
Sustainable industry-academia collaboration model: building a foundation for mid- to long-term mutual growth beyond short-term outcomes
Ultimately, the two institutions plan to create an open industry-academia collaboration ecosystem in which students, researchers, and companies grow together, generating positive ripple effects across the local community and industry as a whole.
This Family Company Agreement marks the starting point of a practical partnership that breaks down the boundaries between education and industry. Chungwoon University and Newert plan to continue leading mutual growth and regional industrial development through field-oriented education and technological innovation.
