VitalTrack PPG SDK

An SDK that integrates PPG and motion data from VitalTrack devices with the app. Flutter is provided for Android and iOS, while a separate Python SDK is provided for Windows and Linux.

This SDK receives PPG and motion data from VitalTrack devices and integrates it with the app. It provides all the functions necessary for the research and development workflow, from device discovery and connection to data reception.

Features

• Device Discovery and Connection: Discovers and connects to nearby devices.

• PPG Data: Provides pulse wave data at a rate of 50 samples per second (50 Hz).

• Motion Data: Provides acceleration, angular velocity, and geomagnetic data from a 9-axis IMU at 50 Hz each.

• Measurement Control: Allows you to start and stop data collection.

• App Integration: Received data can be displayed in an app and utilized for research and development.

Supported Platforms

• Android·iOS: Use the Flutter examples and integration materials in the public “ppg/” folder.

• Windows·Linux: Use a separate Python SDK. For Windows 10 and Ubuntu 24.04 (64-bit) environments, please refer to the existing deployment guide.

Currently, PPG’s four platforms are not unified under a single Flutter SDK. This page consolidates platform-specific introductions and download instructions in one place.

Getting Started

The public `ppg/` folder contains a Flutter sample app. Download the repository, open the `ppg/` project, and install dependencies using `flutter pub get`. For examples of searching, connecting, and receiving data, refer to the README and the sample code in the `lib/` directory.

The sample app depends on the newert_vitaltrack package. Below is an excerpt of the dependencies from the public `pubspec.yaml` file.

Package Dependencies

dependencies:
  newert_vitaltrack: ^1.1.0

Requirements

• Flutter sample app: Dart SDK 3.3.4 or higher, but lower than 4.0.0. Please check `pubspec.yaml` for required packages.

• Android: API level 23 or higher, as specified in the public README.

• Bluetooth: Permissions for device discovery and connection, as well as a Bluetooth-enabled environment, are required.

• Data Storage: When implementing storage functionality, please verify the permissions required for the operating system and the app’s storage location.

• Windows and Linux: Please review the installation documentation included with the Python SDK files.

Important Notes

This SDK is not a medical device and cannot be used for clinical diagnosis or treatment. Please store and manage the collected data securely.
