Newert Participates in the AI Industry-Academia Collaboration and Curriculum Integration Symposium

Lee Jungnun, CEO of Newert Co., Ltd., participated in the AI Industry-Academia Collaboration and Curriculum Integration Symposium held at Songdo Central Park Hotel in Incheon on February 13, 2026.
The symposium was jointly organized by the Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundations of SUNY Korea and Inha University, with the goal of fostering the AI industry ecosystem in the Incheon region and cultivating future talent.
The event brought together AI-related companies, university faculty members, and undergraduate and graduate students, leading to a range of discussions aimed at strengthening the connection between industry and education.
At the symposium, Lee Jungnyun, CEO of Newert Co., Ltd., took part as an industry panelist and contributed meaningful insights by sharing perspectives on the technical demands of the AI industry and the core competencies required of future talent.


At the symposium, presentations were delivered on the following topics, with a focus on AI technologies and their industrial applications:
On-device AI and AI semiconductor technologies
Industrial applications of Machine Learning and Deep Learning
AI-based Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS)
Human-centered AI
AI-based vehicular perception
In addition, practical industry use cases were introduced alongside discussions on the direction of technical education that can be aligned with university curricula. During the session, Lee Jungnyeon, CEO of Newert Co., Ltd., shared his views on the competencies required of AI talent in the industrial field and on current technology trends, emphasizing the following points:
Practical AI skills required in industrial settings
Fostering interdisciplinary talent for data-driven technology development
Practice-oriented education programs jointly developed by companies and universities
Talent development models based on internships and field training
In particular, based on Newert’s R&D experience combining biosignal data with AI technologies, Lee Jungnyeon offered various industry perspectives on how AI can be applied to solving real-world industrial problems.
The event also served as a venue for sharing practical ways to build cooperative models that connect university education with industrial practice.
Newert plans to continue expanding its industry-academia collaboration efforts through partnerships with universities and research institutions in order to foster AI talent and drive technological innovation.

From November 4 to 5, 2025, Newert took part in the '2025 SME Convergence Expo' at the Daejeon Convention Center (DCC) as a member of the Youth Startup Academy of the Korea SMEs and Startups Agency, presenting its EmoConnect PPG&Motion biosignal measurement device along with the services and solutions the company offers.
