Newert Launches a Cloud-Based Biosignal Data Platform Service

2 min read

Newert (CEO Lee Jung-nyeon), a biosignal specialist providing full-cycle solutions for measuring and analyzing biosignals in everyday life, announced on the 15th that it is launching its cloud-based biosignal data platform service (biosignal-datahub) this month.

In research settings today, experiment management and data handling differ from one researcher to the next, and continuous management of collected data is difficult when the person responsible graduates, changes jobs, or is otherwise absent.

This also leaves new researchers with data that is hard to reuse, and makes it increasingly difficult to manage the big data that accumulates as research continues.

Built on Newert's data standardization system, the cloud-based biosignal data platform (biosignal-datahub) is an optimized solution that collects and manages a wide range of biosignal data — EEG, ECG, PPG, GSR, and more — and supports its analysis and use. It is expected to resolve the problems that arise in current research settings, maximize data management efficiency, and improve the accuracy and reliability of experiment-related data.

CEO Lee Jung-nyeon said, "We built the platform so that experimental data can be managed efficiently over the long term, and established a system that keeps experiment and data management consistent even when the researcher changes," adding, "In future, for data that has been made public, we plan to build an environment where search and transaction features generate revenue for providers while saving cost and time for users, and to offer data analysis and visualization services alongside it."

Newert recently obtained KC certification for the biosignal measurement device it developed in-house, and has also secured the publishing rights to biosignal analysis software covering EEG analysis and facial expression analysis, which it plans to bring to market shortly.

Further details are available on the Newert website and on the biosignal data platform.

Newert Achieves Its First Export of EmoConnect PPG&Motion to China

Newert has achieved its first export to the Chinese market with EmoConnect PPG&Motion, the biosignal measurement device for research and development that the company designed in-house. The export was made under a contract with the Chinese corporation "HEBEI KANGHU INTELLIGENT SENSING TECHNOLOGY," marking an important milestone in Newert's move into global markets. Starting with China, the company is sequentially preparing the international certifications required to enter the United States, Europe, and other regions.

Newert, Supplier of Biosignal Raw Data and SDKs, Sells Out Its Initial Run of 'EmoConnect PPG&Motion'

Newert, which supplies solutions for research and development in the biosignal field, announced on the 8th that the initial production run of 'EmoConnect PPG&Motion' — the wristband-type biosignal measurement device it recently released — has sold out. A Newert representative said that while biosignal measurement devices on the market often provide raw data and SDKs only in limited form, or not at all, 'EmoConnect PPG&Motion' removes those constraints and has drawn strong interest from researchers and developers.

Newert Launches Wearable Biosignal Measurement Equipment and Software for R&D, Including Raw Data Access

Few companies in Korea develop and supply solutions for research and development in the biosignal field. Equipment on the market has also tended to restrict movement with wired sensors or to limit the data it provides, making applied R&D and business expansion difficult. Newert (CEO Lee Jung-nyeon) announced on the 16th that it has launched EmoConnect PPG&Motion, a wireless wearable biosignal measurement device supplied together with the raw data it collects and an SDK for commercialization.
